Get a floor plan
The next step is to get a diagram of the area your
network will cover. Building plans are ideal, but you can use a fire escape
diagram if one isn't available. On the floor plan, note the location of walls,
stairs, elevators, and other items that can block wireless signals. Many
programs can import your floor plan to use as the basis for a site survey.
