In 2018, Microsoft and Accenture conducted a study on “The Future of Physical Safety”. More than 200 business executives attended. We have found that while security leaders see an opportunity to improve risk management with digital capabilities, the industry is at various stages of maturity, and at its worst in the last decade. Respondents identified “risk management reactions” and “topic-based decisions” as the two biggest barriers to corporate security today. These challenges - actively working and making decisions - complicate performance. This puts your people, your reputation and your reputation at risk.
